Meisei's product portfolio consists of two primary thermal hand instruments—the HOTWEEZERS® and the HOTNIFE™—both driven by engineered, in-house benchtop Meisei Power Supplies (including the all-new flagship M-30 Power Supply). These tools rapidly reach user-selected operational temperatures up to 1,500°F (815°C), cleanly melting through tough insulation materials like PTFE, Tefzel, Kapton, and Silicone without compromising core conductors.

2. HOTWEEZERS® Thermal Wire Strippers

The HOTWEEZERS® hand instrument is a unique, lightweight tool shaped like a pair of tweezers with an angled head (calibrated for mil grade wire) for maximal control and visibility. The heating element is completely sealed in a high-temperature alloy to prevent oxidation and optimize heat transfer efficiency. A mere 15° blade rotation motion is required to strip insulation, preventing conductor distortion.

Standard (4 Series) vs. ESD-Safe (7 Series)

Meisei HOTWEEZERS® are manufactured in two distinct series to suit standard industrial and sensitive electronic manufacturing environments:

·        4 Series (Standard Version): Operates at approx. 6.3V output. Designed for standard electrical assembly and wire harness processing.

·        7 Series (ESD-Safe Version): Operates at approx. 12.6V output. Meets MIL-STD-2000A ESD requirements for sensitive defense and space avionics assembly.

3. HOTNIFE™ Thermal Hand Instrument

The HOTNIFE™ is a versatile, lightweight single-blade hand instrument shaped like a surgical scalpel. Featuring both a convex and a concave cutting edge, the HOTNIFE™ provides exception maneuverability for intricate thermal operations. Sharing the same high-temperature capabilities as HOTWEEZERS®, it is ideal for larger cable jackets, wire bundles, spot potting removal, deflashing, etching, and microscopic detailed work.

All Meisei HOTWEEZERS® and HOTNIFE™ hand units require a specialized benchtop Meisei Power Supply to drive their heating elements safely and effectively.
