Two-Step Banding Tool for .125 Wide Welded EMI/RFI Shield Bands (M81306/2-02B)

DESCRIPTION

DMC’s manual two-step banding tools are qualified to SAE AS81306/2 specifications. The DBS-1200 is designed to install .250 inch M85049/128 welded buckle bands. These tools tension and cut the band leaving an extended cut off tab. The DBS-R05 (M81306/2-02D) roll-over tool is then used to fold the extended cut off tab 180° to prevent slippage. The PBT1200 pneumatic banding tool is also available for improved ergonomics in high production environments.

The DBS-1200 installs M85049/128-5 flat and M85049/128-6 coiled bands. It also includes the DBS-1100-32 Tension Adjustment Key.

Cut-off blade are replaceable. Contact DMC to order replacement blade.

DMC’s Two-Step Band Application Tools may be adjusted and verified to ensure correct band tension. In order to make this operation simple and efficient for field use, DMC designed and patented a verification gage (DBS-CG3A) to measure the tool tension.

The DBS-CG1 Laboratory Calibration Instrument allows operators to measure the exact tension produced by the tool. A free standing holding fixture is available (DBS-CG1-F) to aid the calibration process by securing the DBS-CG1 and banding tool in place. The DBS-CG1-F holding fixture secures the banding tool in place during calibration. This fixture only works with the Two-Step Tools and DBS-CG1 Calibration Instrument (Banding tools and DBS-CG1 are sold separately)

Banding tools are sold with banding calibration certificate (calibration with reading) traceable to NIST. Additional calibration certificates can be purchased using the dropdown option above.
